As the winter approaches, the fall season also brings with it the cool weather. With that being said, on your wig-washing days, make sure your wig is dry before heading out.

Moisturize like it’s a ritual.

As mentioned, the cold weather may freeze hair strands which can lead to freezing. To counteract it, moisturize your wig using wig-specific conditioners that’s can cater the dryness brought about by the cold weather in order to prevent breakage and lengthen the lifespan of your wig.

Care for your hair properly.

Aside from moisturizing, use a wide-tooth comb to detangle knots on your wig instead of using brushes that can cause friction, which results in frizz and breakage. Be mindful of the proper hair brushing technique as this is much more important than the tool itself. It’s completely pointless to have the appropriate hair tool if you don’t even know how to use it.
